About Us
ARISE WIll EXIST TO EMPOWER SURVIVORS OF SEX TRAFFICKING AND EXPLOITATION, WHILE ENHANCING THE SOCIAL LANDSCAPE AND COMMERCE OF OUR CITY.
Our bakery will be a non-profit business that empowers survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation to “arise” as the decision-making agent in their own lives. This will be accomplished by providing them tools for living everyday life, pursuing wholeness and healing physically, emotionally and spiritually, allowing them to explore their passions and abilities while filling various positions at the bakery, and providing them a steady, living wage income from which they can create the stability they need.
What We Are All About
Love
Women who will be a part of the Arise program will come to us with unique needs for healing emotionally, spiritually and physically. Our first priority will be to provide love, care, and resources that help with their holistic healing journey.
Hope
As their journey of healing progresses, we will discern together where life skill coaching is needed. As they grow in their confidence, a focus on job skill training will develop, with not only bakery specific training, but transferable concepts for their future.
Purpose
After a year spent focused on their healing and personal development, women in the Arise program will enter an internship with the focus on further developing their specific gifts and interests to move on into a new career path or furthering their education.
